Raising the price of infant formula.. after its absence from the market for weeks

The Ministry of Health raised the prices of baby milk packages (Nan-Kekos-Swislak-S26) in response to the demands of local infant milk warehouses (Nestle) and (Al-Hamrat Pharmaceuticals), so that the prices of packages ranged between 10,500 and 15,900 Syrian pounds.
According to circulars transmitted by the Al-Iqtisadi website, the price of a 400-gram bottle of baby milk from (Nan 1 and 2) belonging to the (Nestlé) company has become 12,000 Syrian pounds, and a carton (24 packages) at 288,000 pounds.
The price of a bottle of (Nestlé) Kikos 2 milk also became 10,500 Syrian pounds, and a carton of 252 thousand.
As for the bottle of milk (S26 Progolold1) and (S26 Promil Gold2) of the (White) company, it became at a price of 15,900 Syrian pounds, and a carton of 381,600 Syrian pounds. Swisslac 1 and 2 of the Swiss company (Hochdorf) were priced at 14,500 pounds, and a carton (12 packages) at 174,000.
The infant formula (under the age of one year) was lost in the market several weeks ago, amid the confirmation of most of the pharmacists in Damascus that the recurrence of milk interruption occurs whenever the exchange rate of the Syrian pound fluctuates, despite the availability of the material within the warehouses of the importing companies with the aim of monopolizing and raising the price.
