The Director of Readiness and Ambulance at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Hassaba, said that the rates of registration of people infected with the Corona virus decreased during the past two days, while more than 3 percent of citizens did not receive the anti-virus vaccine.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health recorded 255 new infections with the Corona virus, bringing the total number to 34,460, and the recovery of 72 of the recorded cases, bringing the total number to 23,884, and the death of 10 of the recorded infections, bringing the total number to 2257.
In a special statement to “Hashtag”, Dr. Hassaba indicated that these numbers do not mean that the epidemic curve is declining, but what happened is that some took some preventive and precautionary measures after the increase in the number of recorded infections during the current month.
Hesaba confirmed that any injured person would be accepted in any hospital, and that all necessary oxygen and extreme care would be secured, noting that some hospitals had switched to Plan B in order to accommodate Corona patients.
He pointed out that the laboratory capacity in most hospitals has improved during the past three months, and the increase in the number of swabs that led to the discovery and official registration of more cases of the virus, except for the infections that receive treatment at home, and are not counted among the daily rates.
An account said that the Ministry of Health continues to give the vaccine to those who wish by registering on the special electronic platform, through 100 centers in the various institutions of the Ministry of Health distributed in all governorates, stressing the availability of 3 types of vaccine, which are “AstraZeneca, Sino Pharm, Sputnik Lite.”
In turn, the Director of Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Razan Tarabishi, criticized the low rate of vaccination against Corona in Syria, stressing that vaccines are available and anyone who wishes to be vaccinated is welcome.
In exclusive statements to “Hashtag”, Tarabishi indicated that a more escalating stage of vaccination must be reached in order to reach the immunity of nearly 70 percent of the citizens, in the face of the pandemic, while official statistics prove that only 3 percent of citizens received the vaccine.
