The activities of the fourth economic conference of the Arab Federation of Arab Cities and Industrial Zones will be launched on the twenty-ninth of this month in Damascus. Under the title “Investment in Arab cities and industrial zones and its role in making a qualitative leap”.
It is the first conference organized by Arab federations in Damascus in years, according to what was announced by the Secretary-General of the Federation, “Samer Ahmed Al-Hamou.”
The conference is organized by the Arab Federation of Cities and Industrial Zones in cooperation and coordination with the Arab Federations for Chemical Industries, Information Technology and Metrology. El-Hamou considered it an opportunity for consultation and exchange of experiences between decision-makers and expertise in the cities and industrial zones sector. He stressed that the conference is a means to present the latest developments in the field of economic cooperation between Arab countries.
Al-Hamou said, according to “SANA”: The conference is an important opportunity for public and private bodies in Syria to present the available investment opportunities, pointing out that the conference will include some official government meetings, meetings with businessmen, chambers of industry and commerce, and a presentation of investment opportunities on Syrian territory in the reconstruction phase. The conference aims, according to the Secretary-General, to encourage investments in the Arab cities and industrial zones sector. By highlighting successful experiences and investment incentives granted by city administrations in Arab countries. Encouraging Arab and foreign investors and businessmen to invest in the studied and planned projects in Arab cities and industrial zones. Especially by presenting joint Arab projects that serve the Arab economy.
The Arab Union of Arab Cities and Industrial Zones is an Arab organization that operates under the umbrella of the Council of Arab Economic Unity.
