On Tuesday morning, Turkish forces targeted with artillery shells the central neighborhoods of Ayn al-Arab “Kobani” and the countryside of the city, and villages in the countryside of Tal Tamr, north of Hasaka, Syria.
It also targeted villages where the Syrian army is present in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Media outlets reported that a Turkish bombardment targeted a car near the Asayish Internal Security Forces center in the center of the city of Ayn al-Arab.
North-Press website reported that five artillery shells targeted the “Al-Shaheeda Biman” neighborhood in the city center, coinciding with intense artillery shelling on the villages of “Boban, Ashma, Seftak, Selim” in the western countryside of the city.
The website quoted a military source as saying that the Turkish forces and groups loyal to it targeted the villages of “Al Taweelah, Al Kuzliya, Tal Al Laban, Umm Al Khair, and Al Salamsa” in the countryside of Tel Tamer, north of Hasaka, with heavy artillery and mortars.
In the northern countryside of Aleppo, another source stated that Turkish artillery was shelling the village of Abyan, which belongs to Sherwawa district, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, intermittently, and the bombing is still continuing.
The shells fell in the vicinity of the village on empty agricultural lands, according to the same source.
At dawn on Tuesday, the cities of Ad-Darbasiyah and Amuda in Hasaka governorate witnessed a Turkish targeting of military points in the villages of Jatil and Qarmani, with artillery shells and machine guns, amid continuous flights for the day by Turkish drones in the airspace of the region of Ayn al-Arab.
“Hawar” agency said that the Turkish targeting did not record any casualties, while it transmitted pictures that said that “material damage was caused to citizens’ homes as a result of the targeting.”
Meanwhile, Anadolu Agency reported that Turkish intelligence managed to neutralize Dijvar Silopi, nicknamed “Mohsen Yaghan”, of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, in the Syrian city of Qamishli.
The agency said, quoting security sources, that “Yagan, of the “PKK/Y” organization, was the organization’s administrative official in Qamishli, and that Yagan was the planner and implementer of many terrorist operations that targeted the Turkish security forces on the border separating Turkey and Syria.”
According to “Anatolia”, “Yagan joined the organization in the early 1990s, and was present in Turkey and northern Iraq before moving in 2020 to Syria on instructions from the organization’s leaders.”
Through the repeated statements of its officials, Turkey insists on launching a military operation against the “SDF” and is trying to launch the operation “waiting for the right time”, according to what Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, who announced his country’s readiness to start new military operations, as soon as preparations are completed on the Syrian border.
The military operation targets the areas of Tel Rifaat and Manbij as main targets, as determined by Erdogan, but the Turkish targets are not limited to this geographical spot, as they target SDF fighters and headquarters in various regions of northeastern Syria.
During the past years, Turkey launched a series of military operations in the northern countryside of Aleppo governorate, and military operations extended to the countryside of Raqqa and Hasaka governorates in northern Syria.
