Three young Syrian sailors from Tartous Governorate participated in rescuing about 50 illegal immigrants in the Mediterranean near Italy.
German Arabic-speaking websites said that the Syrian sailors are working on the German ship “Queen”.
The sailors participated largely in the rescue of a boat with more than 50 people on board near the Italian maritime border.
The websites indicated that the Italian Coast Guard contacted the Queen Sara and asked them to go to the boat that stopped at sea.
In order to provide assistance in the rescue operation, the migrants were then taken to Italy.
And it indicated that the operation to rescue all the migrants was successful without any loss.
It is noteworthy that thousands of migrants, including Syrians, lost their lives during the illegal migration journey towards Europe and did not find anyone to help them.
