Ukraine has revealed the export of 1 million tons of agricultural products from three ports along the grain corridor under the Istanbul agreement.
“The grain export initiative has been operating for nearly a month, and during this time, our three ports, Chernomorsk, Odessa and Yuzhny, have exported the first 1 million tons of agricultural products since February 24,” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a post.
Exports provide hundreds of thousands of jobs for Ukrainian citizens, according to Zelensky.
Earlier, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations signed in Istanbul the document of the initiative for the safe shipment of grain and foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports.
The agreement included securing exports of grain stuck in Ukrainian ports through the Black Sea to the world, through a safe sea corridor.
This agreement also includes the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers through the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.
