A man divorces his wife because of a Facebook comment in Lattakia

The city of Lattakiawitnessed a case of divorce due to a comment on a post on the social networking platform “Facebook”, according to the “Sky News” website.

And sources reported, that a man divorced his wife in court after she refused to delete a comment she described as transient, and put it on an article by one of the writers, in which she said, “Very beautiful, THANKS for this writing,” so that the author of the publication responded with words of thanks, which caused a state of tension between the spouses to end in divorce, According to “Sky News Arabia”.

It is noteworthy that several Syrian cities have witnessed similar divorce cases over the past years, led by the city of Aleppo, in which modern technology has caused the disintegration of families and the separation of husbands due to comments on the famous application, or what is described as “marital infidelity” on the Facebook and WhatsApp applications.
