Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian considered his visit to UAE to offer condolences on the death of the late President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a “new stage” in the relations between the two countries.
“Abdullahian” wrote in a tweet on his official page on “Twitter”, which included his photo with the new Emirati President, Sheikh “Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan“: “Opening a new stage in the relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and United Arab Emirates.”
The Iranian foreign minister added in the same tweet, saying: “We forcefully tighten the hands of our neighbors. The strength of the ties with neighbors disappoints the enemies of the region,” as he put it.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived in UAE capital Abu Dhabi, on Monday, to offer condolences on the death of Sheikh “Khalifa bin Zayed”, in a visit that is the first of its kind for an Iranian official to UAE, after years of strained relations between the two countries as a result of several files related to issues The region, most notably the Yemeni file.
Abdullahian used his visit to discuss various issues of common interest with the new president, “Mohammed bin Zayed.” During the meeting, they also discussed solving the problems of Iranian nationals residing in UAE and facilitating their affairs.
