During the past two days, news pages circulated on social media, stating that the “Chinese” vaccine against the Corona virus had expired in Syrian hospitals.
Some pages attributed their news to “medical sources” without naming them, and others attributed the news to statements made by a member of the advisory team to confront Corona, Dr. Nabug Al-Awa.
In a special statement to “Hashtag”, the member of the advisory team denied all the circulating news about the expiration of the Chinese vaccine period in Syrian hospitals and centers, accusing those pages of fabricating accusations that he said it.
Al-Awa explained that the vaccine is safe and widely used in various countries of the world, unlike the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, which gave side effects.
At the beginning of last June, the Ministry of Health began giving the anti-Coronavirus vaccine to the elderly in various Syrian governorates, after completing its granting to members of medical staff, using the “Russian” and “Chinese” vaccines for all registered, without giving any dose of the vaccine.
