Damascus Airport flights departed for Emirates… Aleppo and Lattakia airports are awaiting completion of procedures

The Director General of Civil Aviation, Basem Mansour, revealed that attempts are being made to reactivate flights through the international airports of Aleppo and Lattakia towards UAE, after the first flights were operated through Damascus International Airport.
Mansour announced in a special statement to “Hashtag” that the first flights departed from Damascus International Airport to Sharjah two days ago, after coordination with the UAE civil aviation and obtaining operating permission, at a rate of 3 Syrian flights to Sharjah, and 3 to Dubai, the company Cham Wings 3 flights to Sharjah , weekly.
Mansour expected an increase in the number of flights after completing the procedures for the airports of Aleppo and Lattakia to start flights to Emirates, adding: “We seek to reactivate flights through Latakia International Airport towards the Emirates, and we also seek to open airlines with countries where there are Syrian communities.”
The Director General of Civil Aviation indicated that there are connecting flights from Syria, including flights from Damascus to Muscat to Saudi Arabia.
Regarding the Corona procedures and the certificate for taking the vaccine, Mansour said that the procedures for this process work smoothly and there are no obstacles or violations so far.
