The competent authorities in the city of Homs, Syria, managed, on Sunday, to find the girl “Jawa Istanbouli”, whose disappearance in mysterious circumstances has occupied the followers of social networking sites during the past days.
The girl Jawa was found dead and dumped in the “Tal Al-Nasr” landfill in the city, where the medical examination showed that the death was caused by severe bleeding caused by hitting the head with a sharp object.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Interior indicated that it was reported to the Al-Bayada Police Department in Homs that the body of a girl was found in the garbage dump in the locality of “Tal Al-Nasr”.
Immediately, the ministry added, patrols from the Al-Bayada Police Department, the Criminal Security Branch and the Medical and Judicial Examination Authority went to the aforementioned place.
The ministry pointed out that the body of an unidentified girl no more than six years old was found, with signs of being hit on the head with a sharp object, noting that the facial features were completely distorted.
The ministry stated that the preliminary investigations and the medical examination showed that the body that was discovered belonged to the girl Jawa, who had been missing since 8/8/2022, and her mother recognized her through her clothes.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior indicated that investigations are still ongoing, in order to uncover the circumstances of the crime and arrest the perpetrators.
A few days ago, followers of social networking sites in Syria have been circulating pictures of the girl Jawa, who went missing in the city of Homs under mysterious circumstances, as her family appealed to the concerned authorities to reveal the fate of their daughter.
