Directorate of Antiques in Daraa seized on 27th of November tens of antiques prepared for smuggling in AlJeza town -20 kilometer east of Daraa city- eastern of Daraa.
The sources indicated that the seized antiques consist of 75 pieces of Basalt and marble and 28 piece of pottery belongs to the Roman age.
According to SANA, they think that the antiques were stolen from Busra Archeological Museum during the control of terrorist groups in the AlJeza.
Recall that smuggling antiques during the Syrian crisis flourished due to the control of armed groups in some regions, and most of the antiques were prepared to smuggling to Jordan and Turkey.
