Today, Tuesday, an Egyptian young man set fire to the school where his fiancée was studying, because she failed her end-of-year exams.
And the Egyptian police announced that they had received a report that a fire had broken out at the Kafr Salem Al-Nahal School for Commercial Education, according to Egyptian media.
The police indicated that, with the help of the residents, the firefighting teams were able to put out the fire before it spread to the neighboring buildings.
The police stated that the fire charred the rooms of the administrators and the principal of the school, and completely destroyed the files belonging to the students in the control room.
The police stated that the arson did not lead to any casualties or injuries, noting that they arrested the young man, “M. Daoud”, accused of burning the school.
The police pointed out that it was found that the accused young man, the fiancé of one of the female students at the school, set the fire in retaliation for the failure of his fiancée, and fled to his hometown in Menoufia Governorate after committing the crime.
Local sources revealed that the Al-Santa District Prosecution Office in Gharbia Governorate decided to detain the accused, “M. Daoud” for a period of four days pending investigations.
