The Russian army confirmed that the Syrian army repelled the vast majority of Israeli missiles fired by Israeli planes at Syria during its last aggression on Thursday night.
Admiral Vadim Kolet, head of the Russian Military Reconciliation Center in Syria, said the Syrian air defense forces had shot down 22 missiles fired by Israeli warplanes during an air raid on targets in Syria.
He added that six Israeli warplanes targeted facilities in Damascus and Homs governorates from Lebanese airspace late Thursday.
He added that the Syrian air defenses were able to shoot down 22 out of 24 missiles fired by Israeli warplanes using the Russian Pantsir-S and Buk-M2 air defense systems.
After midnight last Thursday – last Friday, SANA news agency announced that the Syrian air defense units responded to an Israeli air strike that targeted the countryside of Damascus and Homs governorate, and shot down most of the hostile missiles, while there were no reports of casualties or damage.
