The People’s Assembly issued a statement about the brigade Iskenderun, in which the council said: “The brigade is an inseparable part of the national territory, and that the Syrians will exert the most precious and precious until the stolen right returns to its owners.”
The statement of the People’s Assembly on the eighty-second anniversary of Turkey’s occupation of the Iskenderun Brigade indicated: “The stolen brigade is an integral part of the Syrian soil, and the Syrians will make the most precious until the stolen right returns to its owners, and they are determined to restore all the usurped lands and achieve a great victory with the efforts of the men of the Syrian Arab Army.”
The Iskenderun Brigade is located on the Gulf of Iskenderun and the Gulf of Al-Suwaydiyah in the northeastern corner of the Mediterranean Sea, and it was previously in the far northwest of Syria.
It connects to the east and southeast with the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo, from the south with the city of Lattakia, and from the north with the Turkish province of Gaziantep, and is now in southern Turkey.
Turkey occupied Iskenderun in 1939 after France “ceded” it to it during its occupation of Syria, and considered it a Turkish province, and named it “Hatay Province”.
The district consists of 6 main cities: Antakya, “the capital of the governorate”, Iskenderun, Ordu, Reyhanli, As-Suwaydiyah, and Arsuz.
