President of the Syrian-Emirati Council: Investments between the two countries have stopped and have not been cancelled

The head of the Syrian-Emirati Council, Ghazwan Al-Masry, told “Hashtag” that the Syrian-Emirati relations have not stopped, and the Emirati investments in Syria have temporarily stopped, but they have not been cancelled.
Al-Masry indicated that Syria’s participation in the “Golf Food” exhibition has not stopped since 2011, and the place of the Syrian pavilion remained in the exhibition.
Al-Masry said that there is great hope after President al-Assad’s visit to the UAE to achieve major economic breakthroughs that will benefit the country and the ports in the two countries, because it is a good indicator of openness and stimulating the return of investments.
Al-Masry added that since the establishment of the Syrian-Emirati Cooperation Council, there is a constant search in the fields of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy and agriculture. Al-Masry mentioned the many repercussions that resulted from the Ukrainian crisis, which was a pioneer in the field of agricultural export.
On the trade exchange between Syria and the UAE, Al-Masry said that the UAE is a strategic partner in this field, and that there are many materials that go to the Emirates, such as cheese, milk, vegetables and other materials.
