A number of Syrian citizens were wounded by stray bullets after the results of high school were announced on Wednesday evening, to steal their lives after the rejoicing of those who fired shots to celebrate the success of their children and to express using weapons.
A student named Samer Al-Taweel was killed by a stray bullet by his father while celebrating his son’s success in high school, according to social media.
The celebrations also led to the death of a pregnant woman in her sixth month and her fetus in Qamishli in the countryside of Hasaka, Suzan Ahmed Ali (29 years old).
Also, a 19-year-old man was wounded in the city of Ain al-Arab, northeast of Aleppo, yesterday, as a result of a stray bullet that hit him during a celebration of his success in high school, according to local media.
Opposition media reported that members of the “SDF” fired heavy bullets in their areas of control in the cities of Raqqa, Tabqa, al-Hasakah, Qamishli and Aleppo countryside, in celebration of the “baccalaureate” results.
In the same context, the girl, “Dina Al-Mahamid”, was wounded by a live bullet in the center of the city of Daraa. She is 8 years old and was transferred to a hospital in Daraa in critical condition as a result of the bullet being lodged in the head.
The head of the Nursing Department at Daraa National Hospital, “Hisham Al-Talji,” told the media that the girl was hit by a stray bullet while she was heading to a shop to buy, describing the unstable condition of the girl, as the gunshot is stable in the head, she was transferred to Daraa National Hospital after being treated by members of the Red Crescent branch to Al-Rahma Hospital, and a CT scan was done for her, provided that she was transferred to one of the Damascus hospitals to follow up the treatment and remove the gunshot wound from her head.
The injuries were not limited to this point, but two people were wounded in the city of Salamiyah in Hama countryside as well, according to the Facebook pages.
A medical source at the Martyr General Qais Ahmed Habib Al-Watani Hospital in Salamiyah indicated that two people were treated at the hospital, the first with a stray bullet in his hand that penetrated the entry and exit nozzles, and the second with a translucent injury to his thigh.
The source indicated that first aid was provided to the injured, and they were discharged to their homes.
The phenomenon of indiscriminate shooting spreads due to the compatibility of the announcement of the results of high school, basic education, and occasions in both parts of joy and sadness and New Year’s celebrations, causing injuries and victims in light of constant calls to withdraw indiscriminate weapons and to hold those responsible for the loss of life accountable.
