Essam Al-Amin, Director-General of Al-Mowasat Hospital, confirmed to “Hashtag”, that the number of severe and critical Corona admission cases that the hospital is currently reviewing in isolation or intensive care rooms increased by 15 percent within a week.
Al-Amin indicated that the hospital receives on a daily basis about 4 new cases of the virus.
Al-Amin indicated that there were 18 people infected with the virus in isolation and intensive care rooms, compared to more than 70 cases during the third peak, indicating that the hospital is monitoring the reality of the epidemiological curve, and is ready to take the necessary measures, with an increase in the number of rooms and an increase in the pace of processing according to the reality of numbers.
The Director General of Consolation added, by saying that the country is not immune from the possibility of entering a fourth peak of the virus, so the measures taken must be strict, in terms of wearing a mask and distancing as much as possible.
He stressed that vaccination is the surest option to get rid of the virus; According to Al-Amin, international studies have confirmed that the number of unvaccinated patients for intensive care has increased to 25 times that of vaccinated patients, which means the importance of vaccination in reducing the incidence of injuries.
