The Director of Operation and Maintenance at the Essa Issa Fuel Company revealed that 25 stations have been allocated to sell 90 octane gasoline and diesel for cars at the cost price outside the electronic card.
Issa indicated that the governorates of Damascus, Damascus Countryside and Aleppo have been allocated three gas stations in each, while the governorates of Daraa, As-Suwayda, Homs, Hama and Tartous have been allocated two stations in each, and the provinces of Quneitra, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Idlib have one station in each.
Issa indicated that the pricing is issued based on a decision of the Economic Committee in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and it is expected that octane 90 gasoline will be sold at a price lower than octane 95, because the additives in it are less expensive, while an approximate price of diesel was not specified, pointing out that the cost price of a liter Gasoline or diesel for the state ranges between 2000 to 2500 pounds as a result of the blockade, which adds additional costs to the material, noting that this measure came as a solution to secure the needs of people whose allocations sold through the card, which currently amount to 25 liters of gasoline per week, are not sufficient, in addition to alleviating the deficit caused by subsidizing the material. and reduce the open market by providing the material through the right channels.
Issa expected that the new mechanism would be launched soon as Fuel Company said, after the pricing was issued by the Economic Committee, noting that it had been received official messages from the governorates to specify stations for this purpose, explaining that the stations are only dedicated to selling the material from outside the allocations of the smart card, with the aim of not having any manipulation of the material, pointing out The material will be provided at these stations within the available capabilities.
