The Vice President of Damascus University for Student and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Subhi Al-Bahri, revealed that admission to the Spanish Language Department at Damascus University has been suspended.
Al-Bahri indicated in a special statement to “Hashtag” that the reason for suspending admission is due to the absence of faculty members in the Spanish language.
However, Al-Bahri confirmed that it is possible to resume admission next year if the cadres are secured or the repeaters return.

However, Al-Bahri pointed out that there is a strong demand for the Higher Institute of Languages at the University of Damascus due to the presence of qualified cadres in English, French and Russian languages.
It is noteworthy that admission to the Japanese Department was suspended last year, and resumed this year after the teaching staff was secured.
