The Syrian Minister of Transport, Eng. Zuhair Khuzaym, revealed that the workshops have begun work of rehabilitation one of the damaged runways as a result of the recent Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport.
At a time, Syrian Airlines explained to passengers the procedures for processing reserved tickets.

The Syrian minister confirmed that the runway will be put back into service in the coming days.
Minister Khuzayem said that the technical teams started hours after the aggression.
It is also working around the clock to restore the airport to service as soon as possible.
Khuzayem indicated that work is being done to remove the effects of the aggression and to repair the great damage caused to the airport.
He stressed that as soon as they are repaired and ensure their safety and security, the airport’s operational movement will resume.

The airlines confirmed that they accept bookings on the same price class, without collecting any price difference.
This is subject to the availability of reservations on scheduled flights after the date of the restart announcement.
It also allows the return of the financial value in cash, regardless of the restriction cases by preventing the return of the value, if any.
As for the tickets, of which one segment is used, the value of the second segment shall be refunded on the canceled flights according to the price value listed in the reservation system, regardless of the principle of refunding the value.
It is exempted from the applicable service charges (change of reservation, travel failure, value refund).
The airlines confirmed that compensating the cost of the (negative) PCR examination for travelers who did not notify the cancellation of flights within the time periods specified for conducting the examination for the country of destination, after submitting the necessary documents in the right manner.
The airlines concluded that tourism and travel offices should inform travelers who have follow-up flights (transit) about the current situation and provide possible facilities.
