Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the volume of trade between Russia and Syria increased in the first half of 2021 by 3.5 times.
The Russian president’s statement came during a summit meeting held in Moscow on Monday with President Bashar al-Assad, where they discussed bilateral relations, including trade and economic ones.
During the meeting, Putin said: “Our joint efforts are yielding results. I am talking not only about humanitarian aid from Russia to the Syrian people, but also about the development of trade and economic relations in the first half of this year, in which the volume of trade increased by 3.5 times.”
