3 Syrian students from the Syrian Scientific Olympiad were awarded scholarships from the University of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the world’s first technical university.
The Excellence and Creativity Authority announced the names of the three students who received grants and talked about their previous talents and achievements, and they are, Mohamed Nour Al-Masry, his most important achievements: two bronze medals in the International Olympiad in Informatics IOI in 2019-2021 and a bronze medal in the Asia-Pacific Olympiad in Informatics in 2020, and the Center The first in the 2019 School Team Olympiad, and in recognition of his achievements, he was included in the membership of the Scientific Informatics Committee in the Syrian Scientific Olympiad.
The second student: Ali Firas Bakour, his most important achievements, according to the authority’s Facebook page: a silver medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad IMO for the year 2020
– Two bronze medals at the Asian Mathematical Olympiad for the year 2020 and 2021
Bronze medal in the Iranian IGO Engineering Olympiad 2019.
– Silver medal in the GQMO 2020 World Quarantine Olympiad.
Mohamed Sobhi Abu Radan, his most important achievements: Bronze medal in each of the competitions: European Eupho 2020 Romania. Global IDpho 2020 mipt Russia. European EuPhO 2021 Estonia. Global IPho 2021 Lithuania.
It is noteworthy that Muhammad Nour, Ali and Muhammad Sobhi succeeded in the admission tests and obtained university scholarships from the American MIT University, the first technically in the world.
This is the first time that this scholarship has been given to three Syrian Scientific Olympiad students at once, after they successfully passed the scientific admission tests in which more than 60,000 male and female students from around the world participated, to be accepted 4,500 students and the number of foreign students from outside America does not exceed 400.
